What do our Programs give you?

Marketing programs challenge students.

The School has an international management orientation, and the courses it offers are designed to educate and develop capable people who will manage business and marketing activities in industrial or consumer service or product organisations in a competitive and changing global economy.

The programs educate students in an understanding of people and the world through an exposure to facets of such disciplines as psychology and economics. Teaching staff aim to give students a good grasp of the body of knowledge underlying business and marketing management and to develop their ability to think critically about business problems and situations.

The programs are also designed to give students a range of practical skills which are important to give confidence and to be effective in almost any role. These practical skills include report writing, data collection and analysis, personal selling, making presentations to groups and the ability to work in teams.

Marketing staff strive to encourage a positive set of attitudes towards marketing and business in general. In particular, staff encourage innovation in problem-solving and an entrepreneurial approach to business opportunities.

This combination of theory, skill development and attitudes equips graduates for successful careers and will help them to contribute to Australia's economy and development.
